the skinny.

Everyone wants to know, but no one wants to talk about it: Money. Personally, I become frustrated when a service provider’s website shares no information about rates, fees, terms, etc. to help me make decisions. In an effort to make it as easy as possible during your search for an interior designer, please review the following:

Principal Designer's time is billed at $130/hour and is tracked in 10  min. increments. Associate's time will be billed at the rate of $95/hour and Drafting/Production time at $85/hour.

rates.

travel.

50% of the Staff's  hourly rate starting and ending from 98199, Seattle.

retainer.

A small retainer (typically $750 - $1000) is requested at the start of our working relationship to secure your project on the office work calendar.  This amount will be be credited on the final invoice.  If a project ends premarturely, and at no fault of the Designer, this retainer will not be returned.

expenses.

Any expenses related to your project (copies, tolls, postage, etc.) and purchased by my office are assessed a 20% administrative fee.

invoicing.

Invoices are sent at standard project milestones and include a detailed list of  work efforts shown in 10 minutes increments. Payment is required within ten business days. Credit cards and PayPal are accepted with a 3% administrative fee assessed.  No fee if paying by check.

appointments.

Evening and weekend appointments are often available with advance notice and carry a 15% up charge in the hourly rate.  Meeting cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will be charged a flat hourly rate ($105).  Should Elizabeth Anderson or other staff need to cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice, the Client will be credited one hour at the staff member's associated bill rate on Client’s next invoice.

designer trade discounts.

With prior discussion and approval, designer trade discounts at select retail stores may be offered.  If a client chooses to take advantage of a trade discount, E. Anderson Interiors assumes no responsibility for problems or issues related to those orders (breakage, backorder, mis-deliveries, etc.).  All discount privileges expire when the retainer is credited back on the final invoice.
